During this interactive session, we take students on a journey through: Healthy. Sustainable. Innovative. Delicious. Seaweed is one of the most exciting natural resources of the future. It is packed with nutrients, grows without freshwater or farmland, absorbs carbon dioxide, and provides a habitat for countless marine species. But did you know it can also be found in food, cosmetics, medicines, bioplastics, and other everyday products? In this interactive workshop, students explore the fascinating world of seaweed and discover how it can help address global challenges such as climate change, food security, and ocean conservation. Through engaging activities, real-world examples, and discussions, students gain insight into the important connection between healthy oceans and a sustainable future. An optional seaweed tasting gives students the opportunity to experience firsthand how this remarkable marine plant can also be a delicious and healthy ingredient.
