Every year, millions of tonnes of plastic enter our rivers, lakes, and oceans, threatening marine life, ecosystems, and even human health. Much of this plastic eventually breaks down into microplastics that can be found in seafood, drinking water, and the air we breathe.

During this interactive workshop, students discover how plastic pollution ends up in our oceans, what happens to it over time, and why it has become one of the world’s biggest environmental challenges. Through engaging activities, real-life examples, and thought-provoking discussions, students learn how their everyday choices can make a positive impact.

The workshop encourages students to think critically about consumption, waste, recycling, and the circular economy while inspiring them to become part of the solution.
