World Ocean Day, Huizen
On June 7th, we celebrate World Oceans Day at the Krachtcentrale in Huizen.
Join us for a community clean-up in Zaandam and help create a cleaner, healthier neighborhood for everyone.
On May 17, from 13:00 to 15:00, we will come together to remove litter and make a visible impact in our local environment.
We start at the Boko Biljart en Denksport Centrum, where all participants are welcome.
This clean-up is a great way to meet others, take action, and contribute to a more sustainable future. Every piece of waste collected helps protect nature and keeps our streets and green spaces clean.

In spring, Spierziekten Nederland and Life Below Water host an accessible clean-up event with a closing High Tea for people with a muscular disease and their supervisors.
Guest Lecture Offer: The North Sea – Beauty, Significance & Challenges.
In total we collected over 2300 items of litter and over 1350 cigarette butts.
Most human activities produce wastes or by-products that require disposal.
Even activities that do not directly involve the sea, and occur far from coasts, can have a significant impact on marine environments.
