On June 7, World Ocean Day will be celebrated by Life Below Water foundation at the Krachtcentrale in Huizen.
This inspiring and family-friendly event highlights the beauty and importance of our oceans as well as our local waters.
Visitors can take part in a variety of engaging activities for all ages, including interactive workshops for children, inspiring talks about topics such as the North Sea and the waters that surround the Netherlands, and a special pool where visitors can experience introductory dives.
There will also be mermaids present, creating a magical and memorable atmosphere for younger visitors and families.
In addition to the activities, the event will feature several stands showcasing sustainable and plastic-free products.
The day aims to raise awareness about the vital role oceans and water ecosystems play in our lives, from the world’s oceans to the lakes and waters in our own region. By bringing people together in a fun and educational setting, Life Below Water hopes to inspire visitors to care for and protect our blue planet.
Entrance to the event is free, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to celebrate World Ocean Day and learn more about the importance of healthy oceans and waters.

From the age of 10, you can take your very first breaths underwater in a safe and fun environment.
